I’m Ken David, an experienced professional copywriter, copy editor, and proofreader who has handled concept development, content creation, and editing for organizations of various sizes—most recently for a portfolio of premium and luxury audio brands.
In my diverse writing career, I’ve experienced the marketing mix from all angles while doing award-winning work as a copywriter, editor, newspaper reporter, and public relations professional. In those roles, I've handled concept development, content creation, and editing for news and feature articles, opinion pieces, press releases, press kit materials, public service announcements, as well as online and offline ads, marketing brochures and flyers, annual reports, email, Web, social, and mobile content.
As a curious person and a quick learner, I’ve written b-to-c and b-to-b copy in areas including music, hospitality, special events, sports and fitness, higher education, and for nonprofit adult literacy and environmental organizations.
In all of these roles, I brought a knack for breaking down extensive or complicated material into easy-to-understand and engaging copy.
I have also proofread and edited various marketing collaterals online content, and other written pieces for ad/marketing agencies and educational institutions, as well as for nonprofit organizations and for-profit businesses. I hold a copyediting certificate from UC San Diego Extension.
I’m a team player who enjoys the collaborative process, yet also works well independently to create effective marketing and communications materials.
